Research Associate
The Institute for the Brain and Cognitive Sciences (IBACS) Research Associate is a Ph.D.-trained half-time staff member who provides research support to Institute-affiliated scientists.
About the Position
Services
The IBACS Research Associate can support Institute affiliates with research methods and data analysis. Examples of past services include:
- Implementing experimental paradigms.
- Programming eye-tracking software and data extraction, visualization, and analysis for eye-tracking studies.
- Training on MRI data collection.
- Coordinating across multiple methods (e.g., eye tracking, fMRI, EEG, tDCS, TMS, fNIRS).
- Developing IRB protocol.
- Supporting research tools for online studies (e.g., Qualtrics, Gorilla Experiment Builder).
The Research Associate has collaborated on various experiments that study language and reading comprehension, event representation, social communication, emotion perception, cancer research advocacy, and more.
Compensation and Buy Outs
The pay rate for FY24 is $54.51/hour.
