Meeting Support

The Institute for the Brain and Cognitive Sciences (IBACS) provides meeting support for workshops, conferences, and other events that support the Institute’s mission.

About the Award

The Institute provides funding and limited staffing assistance to help make your IBACS-affiliated event a reality. Meeting awards can cover budget items like travel, catering, room space reservations, and other costs associated with the event.

The Institute may also assist with event coordination and promotion.

Eligibility and Conditions

Qualifying events may include one-time or recurring meetings, workshops, or conferences that support the Institute’s mission. Reviewers will consider whether the anticipated outcomes will benefit the Institute through exposure, publication, and/or grant application.

Become an Affiliate

Meeting Support Awards are open only to faculty, postdoctoral, and graduate student affiliates. If you are not currently an IBACS affiliate, please complete the affiliate membership form before applying.

How to Apply

Required Materials

Applicants must complete and submit the Meeting Support Request Form. You will be asked to provide a detailed budget with your application.

Key Dates

The Institute accepts applications on a rolling basis. Funds are limited, so the request form will close once funds are exhausted for the academic year.

Application Status: Open for the 2024-2025 academic year.
