Annual Reports

Each year we ask researchers affiliated with the Institute to provide information about their use of our services and whether they have contributed to positive outcomes. We use this information to evaluate the effectiveness of our services. We also summarize the aggregate data in our Annual Report.

Data Collection Process

The Institute collects data using a short, anonymous survey. We use the data to:

  • Track scholarly outputs from each of the activities we support, such as successful journal submissions and grant applications.
  • Evaluate the Institute services and their likely value to the community we support and to the University mission.
  • Compute aggregated statistics, such as the total grant income applied for/awarded by UConn researchers affiliated with the Institute.

We do not make the data available, except in aggregated form, to third parties. We would provide non-aggregated data, if requested, only to the extent that it is in the public domain (e.g. publications, grants awarded).
